it’s me, Anna! by now you’ve seen ‘a-n-n-a’ a few times while perusing this website but it means a lot that you’re curious what we’re all about. I am a Tennessee girl to my core, now living in Nashville with Memphis roots and a history cheering on the Vols during football season. I wont say that I was born with some innate desire to travel but it’s something I’ve grown quite fond of and bringing people together is definitely what makes me tick and I feel like those two go hand in hand. I am grateful to have stumbled into the travel industry 7 years ago after beginning my career in the fashion marketing + pr world. It’s the people and partners I work with that make this an absolute dream job. when I’m not booking (hopefully your) travel, I am gushing over the elderly, falling in love with a mountain town, fostering pups, seeing live music, and probably running on as little sleep as possible because there’s simply too much fun to be had to snooze.

Most memorable travel experience to date? There are far too many to count. I find a lot of joy in the journey that each time I take a trip, whether it’s personally or professionally, it’s often the little moments that are what stick with me the most. Perhaps it’s a a random conversation with a local, a playlist, a laugh until you cry funny moment with your travel buddy, a stunning sunset and finding a calming sense of stillness, or a really well made soup — happiness in the little things is what makes travel (and life) so much better.

Where do you dream of traveling next? If you know me, I’m pretty ‘down for whatever’ but a few things that top my list are trekking with Gorillas in Rwanda, lodge hopping in Botswana, and skiing in South America. I hope to take my parents somewhere soon that they’d really thrive. I envision Scotland or Lake Tahoe with my dad and perhaps the recently opened Rancho Pescadero in Todos Santos or Primland in the Blue Ridge mountains with my mom! Life’s short. Take the trip!

What is your very first travel memory? A night swim in a bioluminescent bay in Vieques Puerto Rico and being told I ‘swim like puppy ‘ by a nice man in Jamaica wearing not much more than a loin cloth.

Travel tip? If you’re really wanting to understand and get a feel for the culture of a new destination, make sure to check out a dive bar (a plus if it’s karaoke night) or a local market on a weekend. Compression socks for a long haul flight are a must. Always always book the room with the tub. Take far more videos than you think are necessary.

Favorite hotel? Nihi on Sumba Island in Indonesia is pretty exceptional. It’s quite a journey to get there, but boy is it worth it. Wild horses running the beaches, incredible surfing, and the whole resort including the resident goat coming together nightly to watch the sunset definitely makes it a top contender. Other notable mentions are Aman Tokyo, The Green O in Montana, Hotel Esencia in Riviera Maya Mexico, and Capella Ubud in Bali.

What’s on your travel playlist? Given it’s winter and ski season and I’m spending a lot of time in the mountains I’ve been listening to a lot Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers and crunchy country like that.

Go to Karaoke song: I’ll make a man out of you from Mulan. It really gets the crowd going.
