meet baylee
Nice to meet you! I’m Baylee– Midwest born and raised (an Ohio State Buckeye) living in Colorado. I’ve been in the travel industry since late 2020 when the world shut down and I decided to leave behind the redundancy of Corporate America. Growing up on a small Ohio Farm fueled my passion to see the world. My real travel itch began at a young age while watching my grandparents travel to a new country each year for my Grandpa’s World Ploughing Competitions. I have core memories growing up sorting through their international currency and collectibles, flipping through photo albums and watching them exchange Christmas cards with their international friends. These memories inspired me to fill my life with good people and unique experiences!
I’m a lover of a bucket list and spontaneity and wholeheartedly believe nothing has to be “once in a lifetime”. We get to pave our way through life- let’s fill it with things we enjoy!
My “specialty” is adventure travel. The further the better (!!!) is where you’ll find me travelling. I enjoy slower travel immersed in nature– from rural Ohio to the tip of Patagonia to the plains of the Maasai Mara, I’m always seeking unique experiences in the great outdoors.
When not traveling- you’ll find me hiking, skiing, or exploring the Colorado mountains with my husband Caleb and our golden retriever, Shay, or fixing up our 1960s bi-level home!
My favorite trips to plan are those focused on outdoor adventure travel, wine countries, and wherever you can’t stop dreaming about.
Most memorable travel experience to date? I’ve been so fortunate to have two safari experiences under my belt and a third on the books. Safari to me is not a once in a lifetime trip and should be experienced by every single traveler. There’s no feeling like it– the warm hospitality, the epic sightings and thrill of the chase… there’s something no to experience every single day and MY GOODNESS it’s gorgeous.
Where do you dream of traveling to next?I consistently adore California’s vineyards and the story behind each winery you visit. It’s a place I’ll revisit over and over again (and I’m not typically a revisit type of gal)— planning another stop here soon. Some day I’ll work towards a goal to visit all of the major wine regions around the globe!
As for NEW to me destinations I’m dreaming about — Gorilla Trekking & Egypt are on the books for me in 2025. They’re two destinations that have sat at the top of my bucket list. Antarctica is a lingering “must” for me as well as the Galapagos Islands. I adore South America and really would love to spend more time down there in the coming years.
What makes a hotel stand out to you? I’m a sucker for a boutique hotel- local staff, chef, and bartender. They’re best buds with the restaurant down the street & the boutique around the corner. They hang local artwork & celebrate their culture. They welcome travelers visiting with open arms, and they’re always ready to share a story or recommendation. I’m also a sucker for a big bathtub with a view or an outdoor shower!
Travel tip? I don’t believe in “some day.” It’s never guaranteed. So, those “some day” trips you keep talking about— let’s get ‘em booked (and I’ll be sure to leave room for a little serendipity in your itinerary)!
Go-to karaoke song? If I’m out with the girls— we’ll belt some Goodbye Earl.
“Travel is not a reward for working. It is education for living.”
